“What if I told you that I feel ridiculous forever thinking thirty days with you would be enough? That thirty years won’t be enough? That I know they’re going by too fast, and I’ll be asking you for thirty more?” While this quote does not capture the absolute feral nature of this book, it was actually my favorite line of the book. It was satisfying to see Shane finally open up and be honest about his emotions and feelings, and I was so grateful there was no delay in her telling him how she felt too. Yes, there was the ever-dreaded miscommunication trope, but it was such a pleasant surprise how quickly it was resolved. I loved how there was no long break with unnecessary suffering. No making the other person wait for an answer when clearly you knew what the other main character was going to do. Just a simple honest, adult conversation, and mutual respect for the other’s point of view. I thoroughly enjoyed how quickly I was interested in the storyline. After Chapter 1, and then the first hunt, especially, I was hooked. I finished it in one day! I did start to feel like things were getting a touch repetitive by the end of the story though. I knew what she was going to do and how she was going to act, and the same with the male main character. I also was pretty disappointed in how Keith seemed to get off with barely any repercussions. Yes, Margot punched him in the face, but I genuinely needed him to crash and burn so much worse. Because of that, it left me feeling like I was missing something. Overall, I really enjoyed it and loved how easy of a read it was, and getting to read about a kink that I wasn’t super familiar with!
