Returns / Refund Policy

This returns/refund policy sets out how The Gloss Inc processes returns or refunds for items purchased through this website. This policy may change from time to time via an update of this page. Please ensure that you check in for and understand any changes.

What you can purchase through our website
Items available for purchase can include:

  • tickets for event registration
  • Literary boxes
  • items that can be shipped out to you (books, promo items, etc)
  • membership subscriptions (annually)

Event Ticket Transfers/Refunds
You have 2 calendar days to request a refund of event tickets from the date purchased. Once we receive your request, and if approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment). You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer’s policies.

Event ticket refunds and/or transfers will not be made within 48 hours of the event registered for.

For refund requests that have not been made within the required 2 calendar days, or within 48 hours of the event the tickets were purchased for, a request can be made via email to info@theglossbookclub.com for a transfer of purchased event tickets to an alternate event of equal or lesser value. Transfer of event ticket purchases is not guaranteed. Alternatively, for refund requests that have not been made within the required 2 calendar days, or within 48 hours of the event the tickets were purchased for, a request can be made via email to info@theglossbookclub.com for a transfer of purchased event tickets to the same registered event to another user. Payment reimbursement, if desired by the original event ticket purchaser, must be arranged between both users, and does not get reimbursed through The Gloss Inc.

Item Returns/Refunds
Due to the perishable nature of our literary boxes we do not allow for refunds. For all other items,  you have 10 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it, at the sender’s expense. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Your item must be in the original packaging, and proof of purchase receipt must be provided by you.

Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will immediately notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item. If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment). You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer’s policies.

Shipping
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning any items. Shipping costs are non refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Refund Policy for Membership Subscriptions (Annually)
Membership subscriptions purchased are set to an automatic renewal, based on the membership agreement first registered, i.e. annual auto-renewal. Auto-renewal on an annual basis is ongoing, until user chooses to ‘cancel’ the registered subscription.

Notification is sent via email to registered users for annual auto-renewal payments, 15 days prior to auto-renewal.

Payment for annual membership subscriptions is offered to users via:

  • Apple Pay
  • Stripe Online Payment Gateway (credit card)

The Gloss Inc does not have the authority to process payments without the agreed consent of registered subscription users.

You have 2 calendar days to request a full refund of annual membership subscription payment from the last date payment went through. Once we receive your request, and if approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment). You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer’s policies.

Refund requests made after 2 calendar days from the last date payment went through will not be refunded.
