The Recovery Agent is the first in a thrilling new series by Janet Evanovich that will have readers excited to dive into. Gabriela Rose is the sexy modern-day Indiana Jones we have all been waiting for.

The Recovery Agent opens with Gabriela amid a lush, tropical country doing what she does best- recovering artifacts and special pieces for her high-end clients. While this job puts her in danger more often than not, it’s clear from the get-go that she loves her job and the family that awaits her back at home in Charleston.

It is her family and her hometown that propel her into her next journey, as the family ghost begins to whisper of a lost treasure that can help save the town in the aftermath of a horrible storm. Forced to reconnect with her ex-husband Rafer while searching for treasure maps, they soon are on their way to search for and recover the treasure that will save their town.

The journey they face as they race to get the treasure is filled with twists, turns, and dangerous peril as they fight crime lords, jungles, and everything in-between. Finding allies everywhere they go, Gabriela and Rafer continue forward, determined to succeed in their goal.

Stephanie Plum fans (Evanovich’s popular series) may have briefly glimpsed Gabriela Rose previously, but The Recovery Agent shows just how much there is to learn about her. What makes this book stand out is the style in which Evanovich weaves the story for the reader, making it so they can almost feel the humidity of the tropical locale as they follow Gabriela and Rafer on their journey. Readers can also enjoy the sensation of their heartbeat racing as the action and danger turn up at every turn. A must-read with a compelling, new enigmatic heroine and adventures galore.
