So, I think The Enchanted Hacienda has created a new genre of books for me that I didn’t even know I needed…magical beach read. This book has all the magic of a Halloween witchy read mixed the with easy romance of a beach read. I was swept away by this enchanting story and captivated by the characters.
After losing her job and her boyfriend in a single day, Harlow Estrada returns to her family’s farm in Mexico to recuperate. Harlow is not like the other women in her family, each possesses an ability to do magic with the flowers they grow on their farm. But while Harlow can sense the magic, she has never had any of her own abilities. When she is momentarily in charge of the farm and the magic flower shop, she makes a slip up that changes her fate. A bouquet with a bonding spell is given to the wrong person. Harlow’s ability to stop this mistake will change her own fate forever.
While this book focuses a lot on finding oneself and personal strength, what great romance would be without an encounter with a tall, dark, and handsome gentleman? A chance meeting with a man in a coffee shop helps spark something inside Harlow that she has never felt before. The connection between Ben and Harlow is legit. You can feel the sparks on the page, so I was completely invested in their chemistry and connection. This spark is also shared among all the female characters in this novel. Family and friendships are such a strong component of this book, and I loved how they all supported one another throughout their struggles. This was a great read for me and left me filled with happiness and magic!
