“I can’t let her down. I just can’t. She won’t take money from me. But we can steal it together.”
In a nutshell: kisses and espionage.
Former high school classmates, Nero and Camille finally lean into their attraction for each other and then team up for a bank robbery.
There wasn’t much I didn’t like about ‘Savage Lover’ by Sophie Lark. The read was quick and mysterious and sexy and intriguing. Camille was such a great heroine with her sass and curves and willingness to do just about everything for her family.
And then there’s Nero, son of the Italian mafia. He has long dark hair that he has to draw back away from his eyes as well as an appendage and t*ngue that just won’t quit–so swoon.
I wouldn’t even consider this a NSFW read but Nero probably is.;)
In a nutshell, as a reader it was me crushing on the two mains.
There was also a fast and furious vibe. The vibe from the first (and best) movie–kinda like Dom and Letty characters.
The espionage was very taxing on my nerves because there was so much to do with very little pages left.
Very interested in Sebastian now and hoping he’s a part of the ‘Brutal Birthright’ series.
I was very excited to have gotten a copy of a novel by Sophie Lark because she’s supposed to be attending Book Bonanza 2024 and even though I’m waitlisted for a ticket, I’m trying to read as many attending authors as I can and Sophie Lark has officially become a fave!
