I was completely consumed by this story of family, witchcraft, tarot, and romance. It is such a fun read and full of the most interesting quirky characters! I love how the tarot cards are basically a character on their own and teach Flair about love, life, and how to move on from past mistakes.
After removing herself from a broken marriage, Flair Hardwicke is now back in her Kansas hometown running her grandmother’s bakery. She loves making the sweet treats the bakery is known for but refuses to offer the same “side items” as her Gran – fortune telling. Magic has never been good to Flair and she refuses to dabble in it. That is, until the just-for-fun tarot cookies she bakes for the town Halloween celebration unleash the power of her family’s original deck and wreak their own form of havoc on the small town and its inhabitants. They have lured Flair’s unpredictable mother back to town with Flair’s cheating ex in tow. Now Flair must figure out how to remove the spell that’s been placed on her ex and control the chaos that has been created by his arrival. Leaning back onto her natural magical powers may be her only chance to make things right.
This is such a fun and quick witchy rom-com! Sparks fly in more ways than one and you will be bewitched by the humor and shenanigans inside this book! Definitely pick this one up if you’re a fan of magical realism, extravagant Halloween parties, second chance romance, and eccentric families!
