Story of my Life by Lucy Score
When rom-com author Hazel Hart’s marriage implodes and her publisher threatens to drop her if she misses one more deadline, she does what any self-respecting writer would do: she buys a crumbling mansion in a small Pennsylvania town she’s never visited, sight unseen.
Story Lake is not what she pictured. The house is a disaster, the locals are suspicious of city folk, and the contractor sent to fix the place, Campbell Bishop, is allergic to small talk. But something unexpected happens when Hazel trades her Upper East Side life for a town that’s seen better days: she starts writing again, the community starts to feel like home, and the grumpy contractor turns out to be more interesting than he first appears.
Lucy Score’s Story of My Life is a deeply fun, warm-hearted read about starting over, finding your people, and discovering that the best chapters of your life might begin exactly where you least expected. Perfect for anyone who has ever needed a complete reset and found one in the most unlikely place.

I’d like to join a book club.
Hi Carole! To join all you have to do is register for a meeting by clicking on it above, then filling out the info under “Book Event”. November’s book club is sold out, but December’s event should be posted shortly!
Hello! I’ve never joined a book club before and was hoping to try. How does it work exactly? Since November is sold out and mention above that a new one in December will be posted. Do you mark the date in the December that we meet up and have to have the book read by that time? 🙂 what goes on during the book meeting and how long does it last?
Hi Rebecca! Yes, typically members finish the book before the meeting to help with the discussion, but no worries if not. The book club meeting is around 2 hours, and the host will lead the book discussion using our curated list of discussion questions. To join, all you have to do is click on an event under “Upcoming Bookclubs” and register under “Book Event”. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
Need assistance please. I am trying to Grab A Seat for July Book Club and pay-as-you-go, but the website keeps taking me in circles and I am unable to pay or reserve a seat please help. I previously created an account and have logged in, but still cannot pay for July Meeting.
Hi Joyce! The July meeting is not yet posted. It will be posted shortly under “Upcoming Bookclubs” and then you will be able to register!
