Tilly Turner, former comedian, single mom of twins, and novice pole dancer, finds a dead body in her trunk, after a rare night out with her new besties. To stay out of jail, Tilly decides she must create a convincing alibi the police will believe. With the help of her fellow pole dancers, Tilly turns into an unwilling true crime adventurer. Through a comedy of errors, she pieces together clues that lead her to some shady characters plotting an act of domestic terrorism.
During her impromptu investigation, she meets Nate, a hunky ATF agent, reconnects with her high school nemesis, and reconciles with the all-consuming grief over her mother’s sudden passing. Through tears, punchlines and plot twists, readers are swept along Tilly’s wild journey to prove her innocence. Last Night Was Killer was an enjoyable dark comedy mystery, with an anti-heroine leading a pack of marginalized women, despite a slew of unpredictable obstacles.
