When I say I have a serious book hangover after finishing this, I am not exaggerating. I already miss Trevor and Tara, and I wish I had more to read about them. I honestly did not expect to be drawn in to this book so quickly. I had just come off of two VERY heavy books, and I was look for a romance story to fill my heart, and my mind! This book delivered, and then some!
Trevor. Oh Trevor. A sexy, confident, and brooding firefighter?? Yes, please. He was such a strong male lead for me, and I was all about the way he supported Tara. Let’s be honest, we all knew where this story would end up, but the buildup was executed perfectly, and revisiting Tara’s exes along the way a super fun bonus.
Once they final revealed their feelings for each other, it was the magic and spice that I was waiting for, and I legitimately enjoyed how they just straight up said how they felt. No skirting around it. The only reason this was not a five-star read for me was for the self-loathing aspect from Tara. I can appreciate, and sympathize, with being self-conscious, but one of my least favorite tropes is when a girl thinks a guy is disgusted by her or her appearance in certain situations, and she’s obviously a hottie.
Women can think a guy is uninterested romantically without thinking she is repulsive. It always takes a small amount away from the story for me. In this case, clearly a very small amount! I will recommend this book to everyone!

Thank you for the opportunity to read this! I devoured it!
