Want to discuss great books with like-minded friends in Etobicoke?
The concept is simple. We’re a global book club for likeminded women to discuss great books! All members of the book club read the same book over the same period; members then meet up in their respective cities at the end of each month to discuss the book and exchange views.

Story of my Life by Lucy Score
When rom-com author Hazel Hart’s marriage implodes and her publisher threatens to drop her if she misses one more deadline, she does what any self-respecting writer would do: she buys a crumbling mansion in a small Pennsylvania town she’s never visited, sight unseen.
Story Lake is not what she pictured. The house is a disaster, the locals are suspicious of city folk, and the contractor sent to fix the place, Campbell Bishop, is allergic to small talk. But something unexpected happens when Hazel trades her Upper East Side life for a town that’s seen better days: she starts writing again, the community starts to feel like home, and the grumpy contractor turns out to be more interesting than he first appears.
Lucy Score’s Story of My Life is a deeply fun, warm-hearted read about starting over, finding your people, and discovering that the best chapters of your life might begin exactly where you least expected. Perfect for anyone who has ever needed a complete reset and found one in the most unlikely place.

Hi what is planned for July..what book and where you will meet.
What does the membership fee pay for
Hi Priscilla, the July event is July 29th at State & Main, and July’s book is The Book of Doors by Gareth Brown. While many book clubs don’t charge to attend, The Gloss isn’t an ordinary book club – it offers our members so much more including a well-researched book list, fully planned events, great partnership perks from likeminded brands, global social networking and discussion questions, author events, and social outings. We want to continue sharing our success with many more individuals in many more cities. But like with any expanding and aspiring global enterprise, development and growth only come with investment. It is for this reason that we charge a small fee for attendance at our book clubs.
Hi! Are you taking new members? What is the date of the next meeting? Thank you!
Hi Cecilia! Yes, you are very welcome to join. The next meeting is on April 28th, and has just been posted above, under “Upcoming Bookclubs”
Hello,
Are you accepting new members? If so, I’d love to join! Please let me know. Thank you.
