Story of my Life by Lucy Score
When rom-com author Hazel Hart’s marriage implodes and her publisher threatens to drop her if she misses one more deadline, she does what any self-respecting writer would do: she buys a crumbling mansion in a small Pennsylvania town she’s never visited, sight unseen.
Story Lake is not what she pictured. The house is a disaster, the locals are suspicious of city folk, and the contractor sent to fix the place, Campbell Bishop, is allergic to small talk. But something unexpected happens when Hazel trades her Upper East Side life for a town that’s seen better days: she starts writing again, the community starts to feel like home, and the grumpy contractor turns out to be more interesting than he first appears.
Lucy Score’s Story of My Life is a deeply fun, warm-hearted read about starting over, finding your people, and discovering that the best chapters of your life might begin exactly where you least expected. Perfect for anyone who has ever needed a complete reset and found one in the most unlikely place.

I would like to join and attend April’s meeting. Where do you meet and when? I have the April book and am about to start it. I thought there was a series of questions I needed to answer to join but I can’t find it. Please let me know what I need to do to be a member. Looking forward to it!
Hi Victoria! The April event is listed above (April 25th 6:30pm @ Blackbird Public House). If you click on the event you can RSVP for 5$ a meeting or purchase a yearly membership for 55$.
Hi there, just wanted to confirm that if I sign up for the yearly membership that I can cancel anytime. I saw that it was “recurring yearly membership” so wanted to make sure there was an option to unsubscribe. Please let me know, thanks!
Hi Jane! Yes, you can cancel your membership renewal.
Great, just subscribed & joined the FB group! Looking forward to the next event.
I am interested in learning more and joining in September. I was wondering where you meet?
I just joined but also am having a hard figuring out when you meet. I would like to come to the next meeting, at the Blackbird, but not sure of the date/time nor how to keep informed about this.
Sorry Cheryl we are missing the Denver meeting for November, hope to have it up soon
Hi! I represent a local Denver author and she’d be interested in joining as a guest and discussing her book. If this is something that interests you please send me an email!
Hoping to attend the November meeting (currently reading the blue hour and loving it!) but I am having trouble finding details about the event’s time and location?
Hi Claire, the November book club details have just been posted above under “Upcoming bookclubs”.
Hi could you please tell me how to cancel my subscription? I’m not going to be able to come any more thanks
Hi Susan, to cancel your membership, click “My Account” in the top right corner and then “Cancel Membership”.
