I immediately started this book after closing book #1, and was pleased to find out that it started exactly where the first book left off. I hate when I book skips a large period of time and you feel like you missed out on reactions and characters responses. Brooke. Is. The. Worst., the end of this book?? Great, now I have to immediately start book #3, and continue to ignore all of my responsibilities. I have a feeling there is going to be a huge curveball that we didn’t see coming in the third book, and I am here for it! I liked how the authors didn’t reunite Ella and Reed right away. It gave me more of the character building that I felt like I was missing from the second book.
Having dual POV’s added SO MUCH to this book and it allowed the readers to get more insight into Reed what goes on in that sexy head of his. I am dying to learn more about Easton though. I really hope there is more time dedicated to his character in the remaining books of the series. I can’t review this book without talking about Ella finally standing up to Jordan. It was quite literally perfect, and the fact that Reed knew she needed to handle it on her own while he stood back and still supported her, it proved how he was changing. I still wish there was a touch more depth to the characters and their emotions, and sometimes I feel like the intimate scenes are cut too short, but other than that, I’m still obsessed! I have a few theories about the ending of the book, and I can’t wait to find out the truth!
