A stunning and witty debut novel about a young woman’s emotional journey through unimaginable loss, pulled along by her tight-knit Nigerian family, a posse of new friends, and the love and laughter she shared with her husband. Onyi Nwabineli is a fresh new voice for fans of Yaa Gyasi, Queenie and I May Destroy You.
Here are three things you should know about my husband:
1. He was the great love of my life despite his penchant for going incommunicado.
2. He was, as far as I and everyone else could tell, perfectly happy. Which is significant because…
3. On New Year’s Eve, he committed suicide.
And here is one thing you should know about me:
1. I found him.
Bonus fact: No. I am not okay.

I thought all selections needed to be out in paperback?? This is only released in hardcover and its $40 pretty much anywhere…pretty pricy for a book club book.
A paperback copy of the book is available online at barnes and noble for 14.99 if you’re interested!
Totally agree with Caitlin. None of the libraries where I am have it (or they have like 50+ holes on them), and Amazon and Indigo are both $40 as Caitlin said. I will check out barnesandnoble but I thought they were American.
It seems that Amazon US has the book on sale for 13.99$ as well. Shipping would vary on your location, but that could be a good option. You can email us at info@theglossbookclub.com if you have any further questions.
I was able to find the book used, thank goodness. Amazon US ended up being just as much (around $40) after conversion, taxes, and shipping to my part of Canada.
Looking for a Canadian option for the paperback please. Chapters is $34.99 plus shipping for hardcover.
Thanks.
Got the audio book for free with Audible.
