30 Things I Love About Myself by Radhika Sanghani (Review by Sharon Steinman)
1 min read
The story starts off with Nina ending up in jail for participating in a protest that she came across while wandering around one night. Nina’s life sucks. She’s recently broken up with her fiance and she is still in love with him but they just don’t seem to be right for each other. While Nina ends up in jail one of the guards brings her the only book he could find laying around for her to read called “How to Fix Your Shitty Life by Loving Yourself”. She starts reading the book and when she’s released she steals the book and takes it home with her to read.
The story follows Nina through her ups and down as she goes through many transitions in her life with her job and personal life.
The book was a fun read and I would recommend it. There were times while I was reading the book that I found quite funny and silly. It got me thinking as to whether I could come up with a list of 30 things to love about myself. It’s a mishmash of a rom-com and self-help wisdom combined into one.
