Diving into the world of two estranged sisters, (Izzie) Isabelle Shelton and Sylvia as they unexpectedly become co-owners of their deceased mother’s shop, Ms. Shelton’s Fashions. In the begin of this book Izzie still has reservations and hesitations of her sister Sylvia since she left the family and the family business for a prestigious doctor. Izzie attempts to buy out her sister’s portion of the shop but quickly discovers she will need to depend on Sylvia to keep the shop open when joins the WAAF. Despite the two sisters estrangement, they send each other letters the power of their letters helps rekindle their bond for each other. I was in tears reading this novel! This book beautifully depicts the pain, growth, and lives of the two sisters and everyone intertwined with them. I really enjoyed how the author Julia Kelly used her knowledge and research on London clothing and WWII to create this story.
