Woman Last Seen by Adele Parks (Review by Amanda Woodruff)

I was beyond excited to dive headfirst into the new book by Adele Parks! The book opens with Leigh Fletcher who appears to be happily married to Mark and a loving stepmother to boys Oliver and Sebastian. She seems to have everything she’s ever wanted. However, she goes to work one day and never returns. The other woman Kai is married to someone quite wealthy and lives a life of luxury. She lives in a fancy high rise in a nice part of London, all of her clothes are name brand, and she is often taking extravagant vacations over the weekends. She also disappears without a trace. As the book progresses, we learn more and more about Leigh and Kai from the detective on the missing persons case, she is convinced there has to be a connection in this case and refuses to give it up, despite her boss telling her to. That is all I can say about this book, I can’t say too much about because I don’t want to ruin anything! But I will leave you with this: The main character commits something that I personally haven’t seen done not by only a woman but in a thriller before! I would pick this one up if you want something dark, twisty, and page turning. Happy Reading friends!
