Book Two in the Moonfall Series was phenomenal! The Ballad of Falling Dragons met and exceeded all my expectations. I read When the Moon Hatched two years ago and it was my favorite 5 star read of the entire year. The Ballad of Falling Dragons was no different. I would give it infinity starts if that were an option. I loved When the Moon Hatched so much that I reread it before starting The Ballad of Falling Dragons . Sarah A. Parker has the most stunning, lyrical writing style, and it felt so good to be back in this world. The way she crafts her characters and storytelling makes you feel everything so deeply and that’s so hard to find. The tragic love story of Raeve and Kaan Vaegor continues in this gut-wrenching sequel, that will leave readers falling over the mselves for the characters in this story. Kaan and Raeve are the kind of couple that defies all odds and transcends all lifetimes. Kaan deserves the title for best book boyfriend. The way he loves Raeve with unwavering faith, strength, devotion, and persistence is the blueprint for the perfect book boyfriend. The way that Raeve and Kaan grew together in this book was so fulfilling. We met some new characters in this book while others perished (as the y should have). The world building was magnificent – the lore, the history, the magic system, the dragons . It was perfection. The re are so many secrets revealed, plot twists, and questions answered while still leaving many new the ories and questions in the ir wake. The way this book ends…UGH. We need book three in this series pronto! This was my top book of the year so far for 2026. Easily a 5-star read. Thank you so much to Avon and NetGalley for the ARC. Such a well written book!
