Book review

Jess Byrne opens a B&B and the first weekend doesn’t go smoothly as she’d planned. In fact, there’s a murder and a killer on the loose. Can Jesse keep the calm and save the reputation of her B&B before the guests leave on Monday morning? This book was the good kind of mystery – the kind that kept me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out whodunit but, in a light way that only a cozy mystery could. I had no idea how it would unfold, though the clues seemed to be there all along in retrospect. I was entertained by the humour and surprised by the twists. It was the perfect light read to cure the winter blues. Look out for this one on March 19th. This is Sydney Leigh’s debut novel and a first in an upcoming series. Read this book, if like me, you prefer mysteries that aren’t heavy. The kind that don’t give you nightmares, instead keep you entertained and have a mix of romance, wit and suspense.
