Kiss Me, Mi Amor by Alana Quintana Albertson is like that of Suzanne Park’s novels where there is love, humor, and plenty of tension. The heat in this book slowly builds up among the pages. The characters are sort of enemies turned to lovers. They both need each other to accomplish their goals. Only neither one ever planned that fate would have them falling in love. Love was not the plan at all. The lead female character does her best job at keeping the male lead as far away from her as possible. Yet, he comes in handy to keep her pesky family from interfering with her love lack of a love life. The hero wants a partnership purely business related with the heroine. But he fails epically at getting her and plans to romance her instead. I could not help but to laugh a lot with these characters. Both Enrique and Carolina make for a perfect pair. Each one is just as determined, business minded, and stubborn. Alana Quintana Albertson writes with a flair for both humor and romance. She plunges readers into a world of family legacies, Latina heritages, and giving back to the communities. Love, life, and family are the three central themes readers will love. I loved them! The characters are feisty and flawed in ways that entertained me. The community and family members of the protagonists were charming. Faking it until you make it theme also pops up here in this book. For fans of Tessa Bailey and Sonali Dev, this is a must-read novel! Kiss Me, Mi Amor has left me hungry for more by this superb writer.
