One of the reviews of this book says you’ll devour it like you would a Christmas cookie, which made me laugh because I can’t actually tell you which is better since I like Christmas cookies A LOT! This book was very much devour-able (is that a word?) and perfectly timed to put me in the holiday spirit. Two sisters, together again to celebrate their parents’ Christmas vow renewal, are both on the outs when it comes to love. But what better setting to fall in love, am I right? Christmas and a wedding all in one book! One of the sisters, Dena, had given up on love and decided to have a baby on her own when she meets Micah, a widowed songwriter. Her sister, Reggie, who hadn’t actually even been home since her 3-second engagement ended, runs into Toby, an old flame. Enter fireworks. It wasn’t overly cheesy or predictable which I find romances sometimes are. It was perfectly heartwarming, touching, and romantic as each sister explores these potential relationships. Author Susan Mallery is a powerhouse and if you haven’t read anything by her this will start you down a rabbit hole of late nights and covert booking reading. Enjoy!
