Book review

Okay, first off—can we talk about this cover? It’s absolutely stunning. Dreamy blues, mystical vibes, total bookshelf candy. I would’ve picked this up based on the cover alone, but luckily, the story inside is just as magical. The Amalfi Curse is a sun-soaked mix of witchy magic, buried secrets, and forbidden love—with a strong, badass female lead at the center. Haven Ambrose is a nautical archaeologist (already obsessed) who heads to Positano not just for ancient shipwrecks, but to secretly hunt for her late father’s rumored treasure. And of course, the moment she arrives, weird things start happening—storms, accidents, eerie vibes. Is it nature? Or is something ancient and enchanted messing with the coastline? The story weaves together modern-day mystery with a centuries-old tale of love, loss, and powerful sea magic. Think treasure hunting meets folklore meets Italian coast glamour. There’s romance, too (because yes, even cursed treasure hunts need some swoon), and the whole book just feels like a summer escape—if your beach trip had ancient spells and maybe a sea witch or two. If you loved The Lost Apothecary or The Star-Crossed Sisters of Tuscany, this one will absolutely sweep you away.
