Beverly Jenkins upcoming novel, A Christmas to Remember, is number 11 in the Blessings Series. I admittedly have not read the first 10 books in this series, but if you’re a fan of Beverly Jenkins then you’re probably well versed with Bernadine Brown and Henry Adams, the town she bought with her divorce settlement. For myself it was a delightful dip into her world – and I think at a perfect juncture – as Bernadine and her partner, Mal, get ready to say I do. What’s more, a cast of characters enter the story with their own romantic dramas and daily trials and tribulations. My favorite among them was Reverend Paula Grant, who got her eyes on the town’s new chef! I did read someplace that the relationships between the characters was so fully flushed out in the previous books, that I’ve already ordered book one and will descend into that rabbit hole when it arrives!
