Book review

Hank Phillippi Ryan is an award winning, bestselling author with a long list of mystery thrillers. Ryan’s most recent novel, All This Could Be Yours, is a deftly plotted, slow burn, psychological suspense that examines the true meaning of family and the sacrifices made to keep loved ones safe. Tessa Calloway is on a tour to promote her debut novel; All This Could Be Yours. Tessa is amazed and grateful for the sellout crowds in every city. It seems she and Henry have finally arrived at the life they have always wanted, until Tessa’s secret past begins to haunt her. A very determined fan is following her city to city, threatening her safety and her career. Annabell, the protagonist in Tessa’s book, is a kick-ass heroine that lives in the present moment and achieves goals that define her happiness. The character, Annabell, was based on an alter ego that Tessa developed after the loss of her best friend when she was twelve. Shortly after, she and her mother settled in another town where tragedy befell her again, causing another abrupt uprooting. In the best interest of Tessa’s future, her mother changed their identities so Tessa could separate herself from the negative innuendo those events caused. An obsessed fan begins stalking her, asking probing questions about her past. Tessa is forced to confront the trauma of her childhood and the horrific incidents that shaped her new identity. She thinks she can handle this personal threat until she realizes her family is in danger as well. Who is this unhinged fan, what do they want and why are they following her from city to city? Tessa must out smart this determined stalker or she risks losing her family and her career.
