The concept is simple. We’re a global book club for likeminded individuals to discuss great books! All members of the book club read the same book over the same period; members then meet up in their respective cities at the end of each month to discuss the book and exchange views.

Hello, does the Ottawa club only meet on Wednesday evenings? I like this book choice, but will always have a conflict Wednesday evenings.

Hi Lynda, sorry for the delayed reply! Unfortunately we currently meet the last Wednesday of every month, but we have floated around the idea of moving to Tuesdays. If you follow us on instagram @theglossottawa and/ or join our Facebook group, we sometimes post polls to gauge interest/ availability of folks in Ottawa.

Hello! I just joined the gloss and live in Ottawa! I’d love to join the Ottawa members at the next meeting in person. I’m not sure if I’ll have enough time to finish reading the book for Sept since it’s already the 14th. I saw Thatcher meet on the last Wed of each month. Looking forward to getting into reading again and meeting everyone.

Hi Zarlasht, you are very welcome to join us, but we are no longer issuing credits for missed book club meetings. Since moving to a subscription model, our system is not able to accommodate single meeting credits. We now have a Monthly, Bi-annual, and Yearly subscription option to attend meetings. If an event was missed due to an issue on our end, please reach out to info@theglossbookclub.com.
