Everything U Want Me To Be by Mindy Mejia (A Review by Erin Woodward)

Oh my. I started this book on Friday and it was done by Sunday night. I read fast, that’s true. But this was a great book. I would love for it to be an official GBC monthly book but it’s a bit gory at the beginning. Once you get comfortable with the first thirty pages you’ll likely be able to still fall asleep.
Meet Haddie Hoffman a high school senior who excels at everything she does including acting. She seems to be an actress in every part of her life as she struggles to find out who she really is.
In an online chat room, she falls for LitGeek, who turns out to be her high school English teacher Peter. Peter knows pursuing this relationship would be wrong from any angle and tries multiple times to end it. But Hattie is infatuated and Peter weak. It’s a roller coaster and you’ll suspect everyone of being a murdered before you find out the truth.
I highly recommend this intelligent and well-written novel by Mejia.
