The Singapore Chapter of the Gloss book club is for people who want their reading life to actually have a social life. Every month we pick a book worth talking about, gather virtually to grill the author themselves at our Meet the Author session, then close it all out with a real, in-person hangout on the 4th Thursday — food, drinks, strong opinions, and zero judgment if you only finished half the book. We’re not here for polite discussion questions off a worksheet; we’re here for the “wait, was that plot twist actually earned?” conversations. If you love books but hate reading alone, this is your people.

Hello and welcome! I’m your host for the Singapore Chapter. Since graduating from the University of Hong Kong in 2008, I’ve been immersed in the dynamic professional scene here in Singapore. My days are dedicated to a custody bank, while my heart belongs to my loving family, including two energetic girls under 10 and a furkid we call Freddie. Amidst the hustle, I make time for my passion for historical fiction, reading during my daily commutes. An avid reader and socializer, I enjoy making friends. Balancing work and family, I also hit the gym to counterbalance my weakness for white wine and cheese. Excited to connect with fellow enthusiasts, share experiences, and build a vibrant community together!
