Hey there Red Deer ladies! Are you on the hunt for a fun, book-filled activity? Talking, reading, enjoying the company of other bookworm women? The Gloss Book Club is the place for you! We gather at a local restaurant to discuss our thoughts on the book of the month while enjoying delicious food and drinks. Conversations start with the book but continue outside of it as we get to know more about one another. New members are accepted with open arms, so please come share in the love of novels and meet new friends along the way. We are excited for you to join!

About Your Host

Hi, I’m Gillian! I recently moved from Ontario to Red Deer and am really excited to meet new friends that share my passion of reading new books. My favourite hobbies include writing (although this is a new one), walking my two miniature dachshunds, and lounging anywhere with a good book. My go-to genre is either a suspenseful, twisty thriller or a cliche romance, which I realize are a little contradictory, but I am really open to reading books from any genre, especially ones that help expand my knowledge about other cultures, people, or time periods. If I had to name a few of my favourites, they would be The Silent Patient (this book made me fall in love with crime/suspense fiction), Fool Me Once, the Will Trent series, and pretty much anything by Emily Henry or Elena Arias. I am so excited to be a part of bringing this new book club to Red Deer!
