Jacksonville

Jacksonville

The Jacksonville, FL chapter was founded in January 2017 and typically meets on the 4th Monday of the month. We try to match the dinner venue to the theme or setting of the book (sometimes it’s a stretch). Though our members’ ages vary from young 30s to over 80, we all share a love of books and great conversation and have developed some great friendships. Occasionally we will get together outside of book club for trivia night or dinner theatre. Even if you haven’t finished the book – no worries; our conversations always branch out in all different directions. Come join us for a warm welcome and a great sisterhood of fellow book lovers.

About Your Host

Linda: I decided to become a host when my youngest graduated high school and I became an empty nester. I needed something to keep my mind busy, and I needed a new set of friends. When my kids were in school all my friends were the moms of their friends. After graduation, the moms scattered and no longer saw one another. I am happy to say that joining The Gloss has given me a great group of new friends.

Tammy: Since moving to Jacksonville in 2018, I spend a lot of time with my nose in a book and my toes in the pool! I love connecting in-person with fellow local book lovers and learning about new authors. Besides reading, my interests include art, travel, cooking, and hunting for vintage treasures.
