Review:
My Husband Next Door is a fast-paced domestic thriller that leans into secrets, shifting perspectives, and the unsettling idea that you never truly know the person you love. The story builds tension quickly, drawing readers in with short chapters and a steady drip of revelations that keep you guessing.
What works well:
-
Compelling premise: The “neighbor with a secret” trope is used effectively and feels immediately gripping.
-
Pacing: The plot moves quickly, making it an easy binge read.
-
Twists: There are enough turns to maintain suspense and keep readers questioning motivations.
Overall impression:
This is an engaging, popcorn-style thriller that’s perfect if you enjoy tense domestic dramas with unreliable characters and messy secrets. It may not reinvent the genre, but it delivers exactly what it promises.
Read if you like: The Couple Next Door, The Wife Upstairs, or quick, twisty psychological thrillers.

Do we have to be annual members to access these Audible books? I usually pay monthly now, but used to be annual. I haven’t gone to my local chapter in a few months due to health stuff/depression, but hoping to go this month and for sure in March.
Hi Sylvia, sorry to hear you’re having a tough time. They usually hand out the codes at the meeting so if you can make it to March then you’ll be sure to get one! And if not, just email us after and we’ll be sure to get you a code!
