I read First Time Caller as one of my book of the month subscription options last year. I fell in love with B.K. Borson’s writing. The second book in this series (And Now, Back to You) was just as adorable as First Time Caller.
B.K. Borson’s writing is so easy to read that you forget you are even reading in the first place. This book follows Jackson (the weather reporter at the radio station from First Time Caller) and Deliah (the reporter from the TV station). Jackson and Deliah have run into each other in the past and the two despise each other. Deliah is always a spur of the moment kind of person and Jackson is very detail oriented and plans down to the minute. The radio and TV station are owned by the same company. Deliah and Jackson are called into the corporate office and are told that they will be sent on a mission together to report on the major snowstorm that is coming to the area. Deliah really wants to showcase her abilities as she wants to be a weather reporter but has been forced to do anything but report the weather for the TV station. Deliah and Jackson are forced to figure out how to work together to showcase their abilities as reporters to advance their careers. They meet at a local coffee shop and strike a deal. If Jackson can help Deliah with this news coverage, Deliah will help him re-establish his fun side and teach him how to let loose. When they arrive at the lodge where they will be broadcasting their report, they end up getting stuck there as there is too much snow/ice to leave the property. The forced proximity leads to an unlikely partnership between the two. The chemistry between the two main characters is adorable.
This was the perfect winter cozy book to snuggle up with. I would rate this book as 4.5 out of 5 stars. Thank you so much to Netgalley for providing this ARC!
