This book was such an unexpected surprise for me, it was like finding the exact book I need at this EXACT moment.

Have you ever been driving along and thought, what if I kept going? What if I left my current life and kept driving, leaving everything behind. I know personally that I’ve considered running away from home and escaping (especially with a beach involved) and SO many of the emotions in this book were captured perfectly for me. As Marcie deals with the changes in her life, and wonders who SHE is, stumbling into this temporary life when she is found on the beach by Flint.

Flint, having long left his past behind, soon realizes that this uninvited stranger is going nowhere fast and that having him in her life may be more than he bargained for.

I could not have loved Fox’s writing style more, this book was beautiful. Character-driven with a setting that I could see and feel, full of rich details and great supporting characters, in her writing I FELT how Marcie could find her way there and find exactly what she needed, how her being there could help Flint move on in his life as well.
