Book review

What do you do when your father has a health scare? You go take care of him of course. But what if he is also the county coroner and you just happen to be a doctor and there is a murder to be solved– so begins this wonderful book. Our heroine is an intelligent and educated woman, settled in her city life, with a great career and a great fiancé…or so she thinks. Enter her dad who needs her, home town full of memories and people, mix in a mystery just begging to be solved and we are off on an adventure of intrigue and self-discovery that keeps you hanging and hoping for a happy ending. This novel is Nancy Drew meets Kay Scarpetta. A kinder, gentler mystery/medical adventure that delves into familiar relationships both family and professional and exposes all their complexity and contradiction in a way that we all can relate. Perfect for a weekend read, I found Coroner well worth my attention. Check it out on Amazon
