The Re-Do List was a delightfully cute, sensual romance story about self-discovery and finding love the second time around while rebounding from a heart-crushing breakup.
Willow Lewis has just been mercilessly un-girlfriended after a ten-year relationship with her first love. She decides the only way to get over her ex is to re-do their first times with a new love interest. That someone else turns out to be her brother’s best friend, an ex-military specialist, recovering from a severe injury that leaves him questioning his future and his identity. Deacon Rakes is a tall, muscular, handsome drink of water that has sworn to watch over Willow and NOT lay a hand on her! Well, it wouldn’t be a romance story if he didn’t break that promise! That’s not to say Deacon didn’t try his hardest to NOT touch, stroke, kiss, massage…. You get the picture!
This was a fun engaging story of two people on the precipice of their lives, trying to protect their fragile egos, knowing that eventually, they must leave the safety of their carefully constructed lives to meet their full potential. They discover the antidote is sharing trust and love with someone who’s all-in, no matter what! The road to self-discovery for both characters makes this endearing story thoroughly enjoyable. The intense romantic sparks between Deacon and Willow balance the sweet camaraderie that develops between these two.
This contemporary romance does a perfect job of prevailing disappointments, insecurities, sexual exploration, and new beginnings, told with humor, emotional maturity, and respect all relationships thrive under. This romance will keep readers on edge, wondering what will be the catalyst that finally brings Willow and Deacon together!
