Rating: 3.5/5*
I was a little reluctant at first to start this book as I am more of a thriller fan, however the description intrigued me and I found myself starting to get sucked into the storytelling.
This story does jump back and forth in time and if your patient the pieces all start to come together. It sways from places during the second world.
War to post war, after partition to modern day. I will have to admit that the different storylines with many different characters had me confused and a little leery when I first started this book, but I kept on and soon there was a point I wasn’t able to stop turning the pages. I will warn readers that it does take a little time to get into the book, you just need to preserver.
Overall I would recommend this book to a book club because there is a lot to discuss and I’m sure people would have many different viewpoints on the characters and their choices.
However with that said I personally would only give this book a 3.5/5- for the fact it did take me a little while to get into it and get engrossed by the storytelling.
