Hi, Just a Quick Question by Beth Evans (Review by Madhura Mukhopadhyay)

Have you ever made plans and then immediately regretted it? Or lain awake in bed nervously replaying events in your mind? The answer is likely yes.
In her second book – Hi, Just A Quick Question, illustrator Beth Evans uses her signature cartoon blobs to address some of these pesky thoughts that simply refuse to go away. Sometimes funny and sometimes like a much-needed hug, this book is aimed at spreading a mental-health positive message.
For example, it is okay, assures the author, to dread the holidays and disappear from events and from social media if that is what you need to take care of yourself. It is equally acceptable to be excited and upbeat about it. It is also totally fine if you haven’t quite figured it out. This book is a gold mine of such kindnesses for anyone who needs it.
I really enjoyed this book, not just for the cute and fun comic but also for the very relatable content. Hi, Just A Quick Question is a tender and empathetic book to come back to on those days when life just seems too much to deal with.
