I was given the opportunity to review the first two books in this amazing trilogy by Jessie Mihalik-Hunt the Stars and Eclipse the Moon- for The Gloss Book Club and both were amazing. So, when I saw that Capture the Sun was being released, I knew I had to read it!! This sci-fi/fantasy/romance series has truly been one of a kind for me in terms of genre and I have absolutely loved the ride it took me on across the galaxy. Each character is so incredible, and I loved how the author kept the plot of the story moving forward although the narrator/romance varies in each book.
Lexi Bowen is a recovery specialist by trade-among other activities that may or may not be completely legal. Still very close to her friends from the war-Tavi, Kee, and Eli on Tavi’s ship Starlight, Lexi has always often ventured on her own for more lucrative jobs, but always knows they will be her family and Starlight her home. When she takes a high-risk, but high-paying job on Valovia, she hopes to completely avoid Nilo Shoren. So what if she thought maybe they could be something the last time they met? He stole a job from her and was very close to breaking her heart, so that ship has sailed. But when events happen and Starlight goes missing, Lexi and Nilo will have to work together to save their friends and maybe even save the galaxy from a new war.
This summary only scratches the surface of what this story, and the trilogy for that matter, is really about! What an amazing series! Wow-I really enjoyed this and am sad that this is the last in the trilogy-although maybe the author will write more…who knows? It did, as always, close with the possibility of more spin offs so there is hope! I highly recommend reading this series from the beginning!
