“All Fired Up” by Lori Foster is book 3 in the A Road to Love series. Charlotte became a honorary member of Crews family when her parents passed away. Mitch Crews is the unknown illegitimate child recently out of prison in town to find his brothers (Brodie and Jack). Charlotte is looking for a stable relationship, while Mitch isn’t looking to rely on anyone. Not only does Mitch show up but his past troubles also follows potentially endangering everyone. Can Mitch open his heart to his family and Charlotte? Will he be able to overcome his guilt for bringing trouble to everyone’s life?
This book can be read as a stand alone novel; however, I did read the two preceding novels. I would recommend reading these in order because you get a full feel of all the characters and the bond and love the family has and understand the actions of secondary characters in each book by knowing their story. I really enjoyed “All Fired Up” and while it is a typical romance it has some unique characteristics. For example Mitch the male protagonist is recently out of prison. This is typically a turn off for me however, Lori Foster instantly makes the reader fall in love with and understand what happened and his true character. The reader see Mitch’s true character through the care of his dog. Charlotte is the female protagonists and the reader immediately sees her unexpected and undeniable attraction to Mitch despite her being determined to find a good boy. Overall, I found this to be an outstanding romance novel and as a reader it provided enough differences from the typical romance to hold my attention and intrigue me. I give this book 4.5/5 and would recommend this book and series to any romance lover.
